What’s the new Ford Bronco like? First and foremost, it’s incredibly expensive. Especially in the European market. Why such a high price? Does it translate into driving experience? Check out what the biggest rival of Jeep has to offer.

Elite from the start. Who is the new Bronco for?

The new Ford Bronco is causing quite a sensation in Europe. It’s immediately impressive, primarily with its price – comparable to apartment prices on our beautiful continent. The car is available in limited numbers, offering two versions: Outer Banks and Badlands.

At first glance, each variant of the new Bronco draws inspiration not only from its own tradition but also from the broader Ford brandThe new Ford Bronco takes the best from the F-series pickups and Mustang sports cars, and draws inspiration from vehicles used in Baja races. That’s why the new Ford Bronco is a car dedicated to a specific group of customers. For drivers who want to enter every terrain and have a good time doing it. The Built Wild™ certificate confirms the effectiveness of this.

Bronco Outer Banks

In theory, an SUV, in practice, a full-size off-road vehicle. That’s how you can describe the new Ford Bronco in a few words. The Outer Banks version, equipped with the HOSS 1.0 (High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension) system, comes with a lightweight, independent front Dana AdvanTEK M190 suspension. At the rear, the beloved by off-roaders solid K M220 Dana 44 AdvanTEK axle on multi-links, Panhard rod, and coilovers with progressive springs. All this is to ensure, above all, comfort and smoothness in driving on difficult terrain. The comfort level is close to that of an SUV, which is a definite advantage of this model.

So, it looks like a perfect car for off-road expeditions and a real challenger to the current off-roading leader – the Jeep Wrangler.

Bronco Badlands

The ultra-terrain Bronco Badlands version comes equipped with the stabilizing HOSS 2.0 system. This includes an independent Dana AdvanTEK M210 suspension in the front. And a solid Dana 44 AdvanTEK M220 axle on multi-links in the rear. Additionally, this version features a steel underbody protection plate, disconnect sway bar, Bilstein shocks with a reservoir and rebound adjustment. With a fording depth up to 80 cm, and ground clearance of 261 mm, the Bronco Badlands is well-prepared for challenging off-road conditions.

Thanks to these advanced components, Bronco Badlands offers impressive wheel articulation, cross-axle capability, and flexible suspension performance on both large and small road irregularities.

The new Ford Bronco –off-road performance

Under the hood of the new Bronco is a 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost gasoline engine, delivering 335 horsepower and 563 Nm of torque. Paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and electronically controlled 4×4 drive, it offers exceptional power and control. Additionally, the Bronco is equipped with a Terrain Management System featuring the G.O.A.T. (Go Over Any Terrain) mode, offering different driving modes depending on the surface and terrain shape. This means the steering system adjusts optimally to your needs.

With high gear ratios, the Bronco can maintain a speed of 6 km/h at 2400 rpm. This means it performs excellently in challenging terrain and easily tackles inclines at low speeds. Additionally, the Outer Banks version has a differential mechanism, while Badlands has an electronic Spicer Performa-TraK differential lock for both the rear and front axle, along with a two-speed electromechanical gear reducer. This automates the gear ratio change process and allows you to focus on driving.

Ready for off-road. Equipment of the Ford Bronco 2023

Finally, every little detail of the new Ford Bronco shows what it was created for: pure off-road enjoyment. Its design is based on a classic frame, but the doors windows are completely frameless. That’s because, along with the insulated roof (hardtop), the doors are fully modular. It means that you can take all this off and, driving a completely uncovered car, feel like you’re on a real desert rally.

The new Ford Bronco is a thoughtfully designed car that, although already perfectly equipped from the factory, allows for the easy installation of additional accessories. Consequently, we’ve prepared a list of products that will make your Bronco even better suited for really tough off-road conditions.
